NHFA has been a Durell user since 1996. We had four users when we first had the system
installed. We now have 109 users so our requirements have grown substantially over the years.
As it would appear with all software and hardware we have had some problems and issues along

We have been users of the Durell package since September 2006, and were interested in inputting our
company accounts onto the Durell accounting system. A member of the support team came to our offices
to explain the initial process of inputting the data and the transition wasn’t as painful as anticipated!
Help was always available if needed and we also used their online training sessions to learn more about
the reporting systems within the accounts software. These sessions are excellent and very convenient as
you can train whilst at your desk.

At last an IFA database which is actually designed with the IFA in mind! And believe me I have looked at a few!
It is a thoroughly well-thought out, cleverly designed database. Not overcomplicated like so many other systems
I have used and therefore requires minimal training. It just does exactly what you need it to do; supreme functionality
without the fuss and frills at a fraction of the cost. This is coupled with an excellent backup support team, who know
their system inside out where nothing is ever too much trouble, something definitely to be cherished in this day and age!
I would be happy to speak to anyone who was thinking of using it as I cannot praise it highly enough.

With the advent of RDR we were very much aware of the need to streamline our business processes to reduce costs and generally provide a more efficient service to our clients. We were not quite sure how clients would react to receiving less paper and accessing information online, so we initially contacted a range of clients for feedback on our proposals. Over 80% of those contacted (including many retired clients) gave a very favourable response, so this was a great incentive to get our Durell Weblink underway.
We have been delighted with the help and guidance provided by Durell and in particular Dan, in setting up the service. They listened to our requirements and always did their best to accommodate any tweaks and adjustments specific to our business model. In addition to the standard Weblink modules (factfind, instant valuations, policy details, secure messaging etc), they also incorporated a separate bespoke section in our Weblink for a specific range of clients, in line with our own design remit.
The benefit of the Weblink has exceeded our initial expectations. In addition to reducing our paper, postage and printing costs, it is also saving us time. Less time completing factfinds, less clients making phonecalls for valuations, less time collating paperwork and reports.
Being able to introduce different Weblink modules on a gradual basis (rather than all at once) has been an added bonus. This has enabled us to adjust our processes gradually, rather than having to undertake a major overhaul of our systems in one go. This has also allowed us to promote each addition of a separate Weblink module to our clients as a further improvement to our range of services.
Changing from a paper based approach to an online service does involve a shift in working practices, but it is well worth the effort and we have no hesitation in recommending the Weblink to other Durell users.

We have always found producing valuations to be a time consuming process and securing electronic links to some investment and insurance companies still seems to be problematic.
